St. Patrick’s Day is widely celebrated by Irish and their descendants. It is a cultural and a religious holiday celebrated on March 17th. The family and friends of Nancy & Mike were treated to a wonderful celebration of love and culture. Nancy, being of Irish descent, showcased a unique Irish tradition. Green is the colour associated with St. Patrick and it was evident throughout their wedding. The different shades of green were pleasing to the eye which reminded me that summer is just around the corner. St. Patrick’s Day would not be complete without the shamrock and what a better way to represent both love and culture but to have a shamrock wedding cake.

Thank you Nancy & Mike for a taste of a wonderful tradition.

The last time I visited Hilton Falls was in the spring when I had to opportunity to photograph Bryan & Kamila’s engagement. Bryan happens to be Laura’s good friend and she got my information at his wedding. Laura and her siblings wanted to give something special to their parents this Christmas. The natural settings of Hilton Falls served as a perfect location for the backdrop. The icicles on the rock formations and the waterfalls were absolutely beautiful.

I hope your parents enjoy the photos and congratulations to you P family as you await the arrival of the newest member of your family.

I had the pleasure to photograph The R Family just after the arrival of their newest member of their family, Baby Ryan! He is a little brother to Miss A, who adores and enjoys his company. Baby Ryan was only three days old at the time of the photo shoot and he definitely did very well during our session. I must also say that for a 3 year old girl, Miss A, did an excellent job!

Poinsettias | Hornby, Ontario Family Photographer

I had never seen so many Poinsettias in my life until I did this photo shoot at the Zomer’s Greenhouses. Poinsettias reminds me that Christmas is just around the corner!

Zomer’s Greenhouses Inc. is located on the outskirts of Milton, just north of Oakville and just west of Mississauga. It was established in 1974 by two brothers, Jack and Al Zomer. It is currently owned by Al & Tilly Zomer and managed by their son, Jeff Zomer. They are wholesale growers of Poinsettias for Christmas and bedding plants for spring and it is not open to the public. They run a great fundraising program for sports teams, churches, schools, dance teams, etc. You may contact Jeff at zomersgreenhouses@yahoo.ca for all your fundraising needs.

It was another beautiful autumn day when I had the opportunity to photograph Nancy and Mike. The location of the photo shoot is a very memorable place for the couple. The first photograph from this blog is the exact location where Mike proposed to Nancy. Balls Falls conservation area is a beautiful location for an engagement. The changing colors of the leaves and the waterfalls are indeed a sight to behold.

Although Nancy and Mike kept saying that they are not “photo people”…I beg to disagree as you can see the beautiful photographs of their engagement. To Nancy and Mike, thank you for enduring the cold weather during the photo shoot and I can’t wait for your upcoming wedding in March…be prepared for colder weather!

Autumn is my favourite time of the year. I am always looking forward to Thanksgiving, apple picking, pumpkin pies, driving around to see the beautiful colors and just simply spending the time with my family.

It was a beautiful day when I had the opportunity to photograph The D Family. The forest in their backyard served as a perfect spot for a photo shoot. The rich colors of the trees were such a beautiful backdrop. I had so much fun doing this photo shoot especially when the kids started riding their dirt bikes through the forest.

One Sunny Day | Burlington, Ontario Wedding Photographer

It had been raining for a few days leading up to the wedding day of Kristen & Ryan. I had been watching the forecast daily to see what the weather would be like. The sun came out right after Kristen got dressed and I was able to capture some gorgeous photos right in their backyard including the ones with her two little nieces.

Being married for 13 years to a Dutchman, I have been immersed in their culture and community. It was such a delight to see Kristen & Ryan’s family celebrating this happy occasion. The bonding between siblings was evident and the value of family is indeed a epitome of a Dutch community. It was also amazing to see that all four sets of grandparents were able to witness their union of marriage.

As the sun kept on shining, we were able to take family photos right outside the church after the wedding ceremony. Then we headed out to the beautiful Royal Botanical Gardens. The wedding party had a blast especially the guys, which I think I only had only one serious photo during the entire photo shoot.

Although it was a little bit chilly, their big day turned to be one beautiful sunny day!

It’s been quite some time since I visited Webster’s Falls. I actually could not remember how beautiful this place is. Webster’s Falls is just one of the many waterfalls around the City of Hamilton, The Waterfall Capital of the World. It was a gorgeous day to explore the beauty of this conservation area. As autumn is just around the corner, everyone was taking advantage of the warmer temperature and Webster’s Falls was jammed packed with people. The V Family were very easy going during our session. With the amount of people in the vicinity, we managed to create beautiful photographs. The kids had a great time climbing the rocks and the fence…definitely no fear!

Love Finds a Way | Mississauga, Ontario Wedding Photographer

I had an opportunity to witness the union of two wonderful people, Bryan and Kamila. The wedding was meticulously planned and executed. The array of their tropical theme was visible from the necklace to the bouquets right down to the table settings.

Kamila was a stunning bride and her happiness was apparent through all her photographs — just simply beautiful. Bryan was an equally handsome groom and was very relaxed. He and his friends even managed to play a game of beers-bee just before the ceremony. It was a game wherein a beer can is placed on top of a hockey stick while the opponents try to knock it down using a frisbee. A really fun outdoor drinking game!

It was indeed a pleasure for me to photograph Bryan and Kamila. The blessings from their parents, the ceremony and the wonderful words from their friends and family are just a few manifestations that “Love Finds a Way” for two wonderful people to find each other. Congratulations once again and I wish you both a lifetime of happiness!

I had an opportunity to showcase some of my work during a Christmas Bazaar last year at Halton Hills Christian School where I met Simon and Shirley. We were planning on a spring photo shoot but due to some scheduling conflicts it didn’t happen until this past weekend. We initially had the formal photo shoot at their house and just a short drive from there is the Limehouse Conservation Area. The forest, the waterfalls and the caves cooled us off from the heat wave over the weekend. This location is such a gem and so as this family. Thank you Simon and Shirley for the opportunity to capture a glimpse of your wonderful family.
